Job Summary
The Dispatcher role is a full-time position responsible for assigning specific supervisors, leads, drivers, installers, etc. to work teams and projects based on labor estimates and project requirements.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including:

  • Analyze work scope and labor estimate to determine crew allocation
  • Schedule and coordinate labor services by 2:00PM the prior business day
  • Communicate the next day work assignments to field personnel and subcontractors by 2:00PM
  • Notify Account Coordinators and Project Managers of the next day schedule modifications
  • Produces route sheet for delivery staff (drivers)
  • Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate reasonable last-minute assignments
  • Adjust field staff to meet scheduled finish dates and commitments
  • Account for time off requests, holidays, meetings, training, and other non-work-related labor assignments when building dispatch schedule
  • Collaborate closely with Field and WHS Supervisors to ensure manpower needs are understood
SUBCONTRACTORS
  • Responsible for outsourcing project work to subcontractors
VEHICLES
  • Assigns vehicles to field crews and delivery teams as necessary
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Reviews final packets submitted by Account Coordinators and Project Managers to ensure completeness, accuracy, clarity of all job information.
  • Requests additional information if necessary.
FIELD OPERATIONS
  • Interfaces with the field crews to ensure team is aware of schedule for the day
  • Ensure that field paperwork is complete, clear and communicated to appropriate parties.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

  • 3+ years of job-related experience in contract furniture industry and/or logistics coordination and dispatching
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Preferred knowledge of IQ Coordinator, RPC Software Core Business System or willingness to learn quickly
  • Understanding of revenue and expenses
  • Outstanding follow-up and follow through abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time to be highly efficient
  • Detail-oriented, organized and creative
  • A positive, can-do attitude to handle day-to-day challenges
  • Strong team-oriented work ethic
  • Capacity to deal with frequently changing priorities
  • Temperament to handle stress effectively; remaining calm and focused
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to interact at all levels of personnel in a professional manner and to communicate clearly and consistently
  • Owns requests and accepts responsibilities for taking the appropriate action
  • An appetite for continuously learning new skills and embraces continuous improvement philosophies
  • Self-starter with strong focus on sustainable results
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Pay Range: $25 - $35 / hour
The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and specific licensing or qualifications.
