Job Summary
The Estimator maintains margins by effectively quoting labor. They work with Sales to provide accurate and competitive quotes to meet Insidesource’s sales objectives and goals. They communicate effectively with other departments and vendors, and develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
Estimation
  • Monitor quote box / Smartsheet for new quote requests
  • Provide 24-48 hour turn-around on quotes in quote box
  • Enter info into quote tool to establish quote parameters
  • Save excel quote in Smartsheet and x drive
  • Use current quoting standards to verify dollar amount
  • Engage with sub-contractors to obtain quotes for projects
  • Data file info for easy retrieval
  • Maintain a clean Quote mailbox by deleting and filing emails
  • Analyze blueprints and project plans to gain and thorough understanding of the project
Smartsheet Management
  • Watch for new quote requests
  • Attach sales quote and hard quote info to Smartsheet
  • Use color code system to identify completed quotes
  • Add labor dollar amount to appropriate fields
  • Switch status field to quoted
  • Add sub-contractor quotes
Daily Install Paperwork Review
  • Read through and identify orders that need additional action
  • Email complete paperwork to entire team for “daily install”
  • Send personalized email to SC team to verify work is completed
  • All punch work documented and sent to punch/warranty  team
  • Compare work orders to yesterday’s schedule
      • Send completed/verify billed/
  • Identify needs for incomplete orders
      • Short shipped
      • Punch
      • Lost
      • Damage
Returned Product Management
  • Verify what was brought back
  • Verify product disposition
  • Follow up on punch status
SC Status Calls
  • Participate in weekly status calls
  • Provide info on punch status in warehouse
  • Provide returned product info

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and effective communicator, both written and verbally
  • Clear understanding of the complexities of the office furniture industry and dealership world
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in operations field
  • Prior experience estimating and installing preferred
  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new software programs
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365 products
  • Exceptional customer service, follow-through and professionalism

Experience/Education Required
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with IQ Coordinator, NetSuite, or any other labor quoting software a plus


Pay Range: $25 - 38 / hour 
The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and specific licensing or qualifications.
